Greetings to all, on this "grateful" Thursday, may each of us feel God's grace and mercy wherever we go today. May He abundantly bless us with everything we need and the desires of our hearts. Amen
Whether we find ourselves feeling like we are lacking or feeling like we have everything we need or want, it's easy for us to have concerns if we're going to make it when things get tough.
We don't have to lose hope; there is good news. God is the source of our blessings as our provider, "Jehovah Jireh." He values each of us, whether rich or poor and can completely meet all of our needs. He desires to bless each of us, not only so that we can have but that we can also bless others.
Luke 6:38 (TLB)
38 For if you give, you will get! Your gift will return to you in full and overflowing measure, pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, and running over. Whatever measure you use to give—large or small—will be used to measure what is given back to you."
2 Corinthians 9:6-8 (NLT2)
6 Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop.
7 You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don't give reluctantly or in response to pressure. "For God loves a person who gives cheerfully."
8 And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.
Lesson: The word lets us know that the thief comes to steal and to kill, but Jesus came so that we can experience abundant and full lives (John 10:10).
When we live our lives as God intends for us to live by treating others generously, with kindness, and respectfully we can live an abundant and full life.
Not only will we have material things, but we will have a life full of joy, love, hope, and peace.
