Greetings to all, on this Tuesday, let us thank God for another day to get it right with Him and for another chance to be evidence of His kindness by encouraging and uplifting those we encounter. Amen
Thank God for the good that we see from day to day, especially since there is so much distrust and negative thinking.
As we talk about and acknowledge those who we deem essential, it is evident we need each other. We will not survive or live our best lives alone in this world; that is why we are encouraged in the word to encourage and build each other up.
This word is not only for the church, but this is applicable in our everyday life.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 (MSG)
11 So speak encouraging words to one another. Build up hope so you'll all be together in this, no one left out, no one left behind. I know you're already doing this; just keep on doing it.
Romans 12:4-8 (GW)
4 Our bodies have many parts, but these parts don't all do the same thing.
5 In the same way, even though we are many individuals, Christ makes us one body and individuals who are connected to each other.
6 God, in His kindness, gave each of us different gifts. If your gift is speaking God's word, make sure what you say agrees with the Christian faith.
7 If your gift is serving, then devote yourself to serving. If it is teaching, devote yourself to teaching.
8 If it is encouraging others, devote yourself to giving encouragement. If it is sharing, be generous. If it is leadership, lead enthusiastically. If it is helping people in need, help them cheerfully.
Not only does God equip us all, but He also blesses and comforts us so that we can do the same for others. He will actually use broken people to help broken people because it often requires an individual to have been encouraged before they can encourage others.
Lesson: We've all experienced being tired and hopeless at some point and time when the energizing and uplifting feeling came from someone who encouraged us.
Together we can do much more and better, so let us be the person that takes the time to encourage and make others feel like they exist and that they matter.
