Many of us go through things that are unimaginable to those we meet. Others don't have a clue what we've been through unless we tell them. When God keeps us, it's not always that our life's struggles and disappointments will show up in our physical appearance.
The fact that others can't see our brokenness and that we are standing in need makes it clear that God is keeping us.
1 Peter 1:5 (MSG)
5 God is keeping careful watch over us and the future. The Day is coming when you'll have it all—life healed and whole.
People often look at our life and appearance, trying to size us up, thinking they know who we are. The thing is, When we put our trust in God, He is our keeper, and He has a way of preserving us so much so that our looks can be deceiving, and we don't always look like what we've been through.
Psalm 16:1 (NKJV)
1 Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust.
Psalm 121:5 (ESV)
5 The LORD is your keeper; the LORD is your shade on your right hand.
Lesson: Despite hard times and no matter what we go through, If we keep the faith and continue to praise God, we can be assured of being kept by God's power under His protection.
