Just Because You Can Doesn't Mean You Should

Greetings to all, there is none like the Lord; let us praise God in advance for the upcoming days. Let us not allow sin to have dominion over us as we strive to give ourselves fully to the Lord each day. Amen

Although there are many sins in the world, we are free to think and do as we please. As Christians, we have freedom in Christ. Freedom meant to serve God, not break the rules, and not be used to say or do what we want against others.

1 Corinthians 6:12 (MSG)

12 Just because something is technically legal doesn't mean that it's spiritually appropriate. If I went around doing whatever I thought I could get by with, I'd be a slave to my whims.

Romans 8:2 (MSG)

2 A new power is in operation. The Spirit of life in Christ, like a strong wind, has magnificently cleared the air, freeing you from a fated lifetime of brutal tyranny at the hands of sin and death.

Lesson: When we abuse our freedom in Christ, we damage our relationship with Him and our witness to others.

As we move through each day, let us remember that our spiritual standard of living has been raised higher.

The Holy Spirit's power gives us the power and ability to do what is right; we do not have to be lovers and followers of the world and should use our freedom to serve God and build His kingdom.
