Jesus Promised The Holy Spirit

Greetings to all, may each of us seek to be filled with the fire of God's love, the Precious Holy Spirit. May He continue to lead and guide our emotions and decisions. Amen

Making promises are easy to do; the problem comes when it's time to honor and keep them. Too often, we make promises, whether big or small, that we cannot keep.

Most promises usually come with a condition; if you do this, I'll do this. Not all broken promises intentionally are broken. Many broken promises are the result of changes in our circumstances.

Jesus made a significant promise over 2000 plus years ago that He is still keeping. He left His disciples with a condition to love and obey Him and promise that when He went away, He was not abandoning them, but that when He left, the Holy Spirit would come.

John 14:15-17 (AMP)

15 If you [really] love Me, you will keep (obey) My commands.

16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever—

17 The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you.

Lesson: Even though we sometimes fail to love the Lord and obey His commands, the Holy Spirit is very active and functioning in our world today!

Welcome and receive the promised presence of the Holy Spirit and allow Him to flood our hearts with fire and passion that empowers us to make the world a better place.
