Greetings to all; as we begin this new week, let us use wisdom as our guiding light.
Because wisdom is invaluable, it is a recurring theme in the Bible. Japanese wisdom, too, states the importance of moral standards. We uphold these standards by avoiding actions that are not right. It highlights the worth of honesty and integrity in communication. It urges us to speak only the truth and avoid spreading untruths. Lastly, it teaches us to be silent when lacking knowledge or understanding.
Proverbs 3:13 (GW)
13 Blessed is the one who finds wisdom and the one who obtains understanding.
Japanese Wisdom:
If it's not yours, don't take it. If it's not right, don't do it. If it's not true, don't say it. If you don't know, shut up.
Lesson: Wisdom is a divine gift from God! Scripture tells us that wisdom is a guide more precious than gold and more valuable than wealth. Along with God's word, the Japanese proverb is a simple guide we can use daily. It can inspire and motivate us to be better people.
