Greetings to all, as we begin this new week, may we walk in faith with expectations to receive what God has for us. Let us thank God that no weapons formed against us will prosper. Amen
For many of us, when we face seemingly impossible situations, our first instinct is to give up.
We can all expect better days because not every situation or thing in our lives is permanent. There will be bad days and some good days, and we will have to press our way through some bad days to get to some good days.
2 Chronicles 15:7-8 (GW)
7 But you must remain strong and not become discouraged. Your actions will be rewarded."
8 When Asa heard the prophet Oded's words of prophecy, he was encouraged and put away the detestable idols from all of Judah, Benjamin, and the cities he had captured in the mountains of Ephraim. He also repaired the LORD'S altar in front of the LORD'S entrance hall.
Regardless of what we do, or who we are or in life, we all need encouragement to make it through what seems like days of setbacks when things are not going well.
2 Chronicles 16:9a (GW)
9 The LORD'S eyes scan the whole world to find those whose hearts are committed to him and to strengthen them.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (GW)
16 That is why we are not discouraged. Though outwardly we are wearing out, inwardly we are renewed day by day.
17 Our suffering is light and temporary and is producing for us an eternal glory that is greater than anything we can imagine.
18 We don't look for things that can be seen but for things that can't be seen. Things that can be seen are only temporary. But things that can't be seen last forever.
Lesson: No matter what happens to us during this lifetime, we have the promise of eternal life, the time when suffering will end, and all sorrows are no more.
But until then, we need to walk with the Lord, focus on our great reward for our faith and the Joy that will last forever. God will turn our setbacks into a greater comeback.
