Greetings to all, thank God it's Friday. Let us thank God for protecting and watching over us through another week. May He continue to fill our lives with every good and perfect gift that comes from above. Amen.
Today's picture illustration asks: "What if you woke up today with only the things you thanked God for yesterday?
With the blessing of a new day, we can be grateful for yesterday. Let us continue to give the Lord our prayers of Thanksgiving for this new day, and let us treasure our expectations of new hope for tomorrow and for the opportunity for God's blessings to flow through us.
Psalm 20:4 (NCV)
4 May he give you what you want and make all your plans succeed,
Psalm 27:4 (NCV)
4 I ask only one thing from the LORD. This is what I want: Let me live in the LORD'S house all my life. Let me see the LORD'S beauty and look with my own eyes at his Temple.
Colossians 3:1-4 (TLB)
1 Since you became alive again, so to speak, when Christ arose from the dead, now set your sights on the rich treasures and joys of heaven where he sits beside God in the place of honor and power.
2 Let heaven fill your thoughts; don't spend your time worrying about things down here.
3 You should have as little desire for this world as a dead person does. Your real life is in heaven with Christ and God.
4 And when Christ who is our real life comes back again, you will shine with him and share in all his glories.
Lesson: As God's children, we should be like the psalmist who searched for and who enjoyed the Lord's presence, which provided him with confidence and security in his life.
He lived in the promise of God's protection and looked forward every day to offering sacrifices of Thanksgiving and praise.
What did you thank God for yesterday?
