I Pressed On

Greetings to all; this weekend, let us strive to keep what we encounter from determining our future emotions.

Too often, we let the feelings of the situations of our past dictate and determine our present and future emotions. The problem with living according to our feelings is that they will always misguide us. Instead of pressing on, we become depressed.

Psalm 42:6 (NLT)

6 My God! Now, I am deeply discouraged, but I will remember you— even from distant Mount Hermon, the source of the Jordan, from the land of Mount Mizar.

Lesson: As Christians, we do become discouraged. Because of the world we live in, it is natural to feel discouraged, but it is crucial not to let these moments of discouragement spiral into depression. Instead, we should remember God and press on. Press on guided by our faith and the teachings of the Bible.
