Greetings to all, thank God that we have made it to another "hump" day Wednesday. We must trust the Lord with so much happening, trusting that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen
Whether it's national or personal, these are no ordinary days that we are living in! The word lets us know that there is nothing new under the sun. However, we are living in the most terrifying, challenging, and scary times for this generation.
We are not alone; all of heaven is encouraging us to hold on by faith.
Hebrews 12:1-2a (GW)
1 Since we are surrounded by so many examples {of faith}, we must get rid of everything that slows us down, especially sin that distracts us. We must run the race that lies ahead of us and never give up.
2 We must focus on Jesus, the source and goal of our faith.
Not one of us is immune from the difficulties and sorrows that each day can bring. From day to day, when you think that things can't get any worst, we find ourselves falling on hard times and having moments when we are wondering and asking God, are you there? Do you see what's happening to us?
If you been there, praying and asking God; How long? You are not alone!!! When I find myself asking W.I.G.I.A.T. (Where is God in all this?) The following three scriptures and those who had that same concern come to mind. How Long, Lord?
Psalm 13:1-2 (GW
1 How long, O LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?
2 How long must I make decisions alone with sorrow in my heart day after day? How long will my enemy triumph over me?
Habakkuk 1:2-4 (GW)
2 How long, O LORD, am I to cry for help, but you will not listen? I cry out to you, "There's violence!" yet you will not come to the rescue.
3 Why do you make me see wrongdoing? And why do you watch wickedness? Destruction and violence are in front of me. Quarrels and disputes arise.
4 That is why your teaching is numbed, and justice is never carried out. Wicked people surround righteous people so that when justice is carried out, it's perverted.
Revelation 6:9-11 (GW)
9 When the lamb opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slaughtered because of God's word and the testimony they had given about him.
10 They cried out in a loud voice, "Holy and true Master, how long before you judge and take revenge on those living on earth who shed our blood?"
11 Each of the souls was given a white robe. They were told to rest a little longer until all their coworkers, the other Christians, would be killed as they had been killed.
Lesson: While many of us want to know how 'God intends to deal with evil and our problems, asking God is not the ready and open prayer that many of us would pray in the open, but oh my God when we are alone with Him!!!
Why God? How Long, God? Please, God? And etc.
It's ok if we question God, but ultimately, we must trust God.
The word of God has some strong and stirring evidence that the life of faith is the only real way to live for God.
