Greetings to all, let us thank God for another "grateful" Thursday. Let us continue to show Him our gratitude by accepting everything in our lives with Joy, even the complicated things. Amen
We live in a dark and fallen world, no matter who we are, and especially if we're believers, we will find ourselves struggling and faced with uncertain situations at some point and time in our lives.
Unfortunately, there will be times when things will be challenging, and trials will outnumber our Joy. We must hold on and let nothing or no one steal our Joy or our crown during those times.
Jesus lets us know that things may be dark now, but we should hold on to what we have because the Light is coming, help is on the way!
2 Peter 2:9 (NLT2)
9 So you see, the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials, even while keeping the wicked under punishment until the day of final judgment.
Revelation 3:10-11 (GW)
10 Because you have obeyed my command to endure, I will keep you safe during the time of testing, which is coming to the whole world to test those living on earth.
11 I am coming soon! Hold on to what you have so that no one takes your crown.
Philippians 4:4-9 (GW)
4 Always be joyful in the Lord! I'll say it again: Be joyful!
5 Let everyone know how considerate you are. The Lord is near.
6 Never worry about anything. But in every situation, let God know what you need in prayers and requests while giving thanks.
7 Then God's peace, which goes beyond anything we can imagine, will guard your thoughts and emotions through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brothers and sisters, keep your thoughts on whatever is right or deserves praise: things that are true, honorable, fair, pure, acceptable, or commendable.
Lesson: We don't have to get worked up or discouraged because it looks like evil and injustice seem to be prevailing in the world.
We serve a God who hates sin, so we can always trust Him when we cannot understand what is happening. God has promised that the punishment for evildoers will surely come.
We should keep in mind what God said to Habakkuk, "Wait patiently."
