Greetings to all, let us thank God for seeing another "hump" day Wednesday. We can finish this week strong if we don't get weary in well-doing. Let us look to the Hills from where our strength comes. Amen.
We will all be in need of help from time to time, so if you feel like you're climbing an uphill battle this week, you're probably not alone. Even when facing uphill battles, we should remain joyful and never stop praying (1 Thessalonians 5:16-17).
Our heavy and mountain size problems are nothing in our all-powerful God's hands. They will meet their fate and soon end.
Psalm 97:5 (GW)
5 The mountains melt like wax in the presence of the LORD, in the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
As God's children, we have the opportunity to finish strong with the help of people who love us, and with the strength of the Lord. We must also continue to pray for strength, keep the faith, and be determined to make it to the mountain top.
Mark 11:22-25 (GW)
22 Jesus said to them, "Have faith in God!
23 I can guarantee this truth: This is what will be done for someone who doesn't doubt but believes what he says will happen: He can say to this mountain, 'Be uprooted and thrown into the sea,' and it will be done for him.
24 That's why I tell you to have faith that you have already received whatever you pray for, and it will be yours.
25 Whenever you pray, forgive anything you have against anyone. Then your Father in heaven will forgive your failures."
***Verse 26 is left out of many translations, so here it is:***
Mark 11:26 (AMP) 26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your failings and shortcomings.
Lesson: What we're going through now will probably not be the most challenging mountain that we will climb in our lifetime. There will always be another one.
The Lord will empower us to be in control of the uphill battles that we face.
