Greetings to all, on this "grateful" Thursday, let us pause to consider the things we regard as investments in our lives.
The totality of our lives and the world consists of physical and spiritual components. Unfortunately, we tend to invest in the short-term physical things of this present world and not the long-term spiritual things.
God sustains us with spiritual gifts and financial resources to serve His kingdom and our lives. We should make sure we aggressively invest in our spiritual (HRA) heavenly retirement account by doing the things that help us know Jesus and please God.
Galatians 6:8 (NLT2)
8 Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.
Lesson: Let us not be deceived by the physical things and needs for this life, thinking they are all we should hope for and miss out on the opportunity to make a long-term spiritual investment.
