Greetings to all, as we enter another day, may God bless us with the spirit of kindness, integrity, and humility in our hearts for those we encounter today. Amen
Throughout life, many often want glory and honor and always want to be seen as the one who is right because of their positions. As a result, they care less about what is right.
The secret to receiving glory and honor in life is having humility along with the fear of God. But, unfortunately, one of the greatest hindrances and downfall is pride.
As a matter of fact, the word tells us that pride comes before the fall. No one is exempt from this fall, and it can happen in our homes, jobs, churches, and all of our relationships that we do not practice humility.
1 Peter 5:5 (MSG)
5 And you who are younger must follow your leaders. But all of you, leaders and followers alike, are to be down to earth with each other, for— God has had it with the proud, But takes delight in just plain people.
Proverbs 15:33 (MSG)
33 Fear-of-GOD is a school in skilled living— first you learn humility, then you experience glory.
Lesson: Jesus is our perfect example of humility, but as Christians, we should be the model of humility in this dark and depraved world. We should do our best to never allow our hearts to be caught undressed without the garment of humility.
