Grateful Prayer, I Won't Complain!

Greetings to all, every day is the perfect day to be grateful. On this "grateful" Thursday, let us forget about our lacks and our troubles. Let's thank God for His mercies and His grace that sustains and gives us enough of what we need each day. Amen

Have you ever been found guilty of grumbling and complaining about your problems and what you are lacking?

Philippians 2:14 (AMP)

14 Do all things without grumbling and faultfinding and complaining [against God] and questioning and doubting [among yourselves],

The Lord cares for all those who love and fear Him. Not only can He provide, but it is His desire to so.

Psalm 23:1 (HCSB)

1 The LORD is my shepherd; there is nothing I lack.

Often, it's because of a lack of faith and the fact that we don't believe that the best is yet to come that we sometimes grumble, complain, and fail to be thankful and remember that God is with us and that He is at work in our lives, even during our problems and when things look hopeless.

Psalm 145:14-18 (MSG)

14 GOD gives a hand to those down on their luck, gives a fresh start to those ready to quit.

15 All eyes are on you, expectant; you give them their meals on time.

16 Generous to a fault, you lavish your favor on all creatures.

17 Everything GOD does is right— the trademark on all his works is love.

18 GOD's there, listening for all who pray, for all who pray and mean it.

Matthew 6:9-13 (AMP)

9 Pray, therefore, like this: Our Father Who is in heaven, hallowed (kept holy) be Your name.

10 Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven (left, remitted, and let go of the debts, and have given up resentment against) our debtors.

13 And lead (bring) us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Lesson: Grumbling, complaining, focusing on our current circumstances, and our desire to want our daily supply in advance makes us independent of God and blinds us to the reality of God's glory and His willingness to provide for us.
