Greetings to all, on this "hump" day Wednesday, let us thank God for giving us strength when we are weary, burdened, and discouraged. Thank Him for guiding and keeping us on the right path when we don't know which way to go or what to do. Amen
Each day we face many challenges in our lives that we find too heavy to bear. We never know what weight or burden we will encounter. Not all burdens we carry are heavy, they can be light, and they are seldom new. Often, they are old things that we cannot let go of that we find ourselves carrying.
We needlessly carry things that we should not or don't have to. We serve a compassionate God who wants to carry our burdens. We can thank the Lord, who daily carries our burdens for us (Psalm 68:19).
The word tells us to:
Psalm 55:22 (TLB)
22 Give your burdens to the Lord. He will carry them. He will not permit the godly to slip or fall.
Isaiah 30:21 (GW)
21 You will hear a voice behind you saying, "This is the way. Follow it, whether it turns to the right or to the left."
Lesson: From day to day, month to month, and yes, sometimes over many years, we take on more than we need to carry because we often underestimate the weight of the burdens that we have.
Each new day, let us take the opportunity to be willing to follow the voice of God and give Him all of our burdens, pains, and sorrows of today, yesterday, and our fears of tomorrow.
