Greetings to all, let us thank God for His presence in each of our lives on this blessed Sunday. May He make every unfair and crooked way straight and show us the way. Amen
We often ask God to direct our path, then we wonder and doubt that He is redirecting us when He says no to the way we are going or what we are doing.
A perfect example is the year 2020. We and the entire world were moving and doing life happy and content, feeling confident in and on the path we felt God had called us to.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, when we least expected it, it appears that God is saying No to a lot of things. We have found ourselves faced with such a thing called a (Pandemic) that has shaken the pillars of our societies, leaving many no longer quite as sure as they used to be.
Proverbs 29:18 (MSG)
18 If people can't see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; But when they attend to what he reveals, they are most blessed.
In our lives, whether personal, professional, or our ministries, there will be times when God will open doors of opportunities, and there will be times when He will close doors that look similar to the doors that He previously opened.
Only when we listen to the voice and the call of God will we be most assured and confident in the path that He has chosen for us.
Acts 16:6-10 (GW)
6 Paul and Silas went through the regions of Phrygia and Galatia because the Holy Spirit kept them from speaking the word in the province of Asia.
7 They went to the province of Mysia and tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus wouldn't allow this.
8 So they passed by Mysia and went to the city of Troas.
9 During the night, Paul had a vision of a man from Macedonia. The man urged Paul, "Come to Macedonia to help us."
10 As soon as Paul had seen the vision, we immediately looked for a way to go to Macedonia. We concluded that God had called us to tell the people of Macedonia about the Good News.
Lesson: God will redirect us in our callings. Redirecting us will sometimes call for us to step out of our comfort zones.
That is just where God wants us to be so that we can be comfortable in Him.
