Greetings to all, let us approach God's throne this Friday morning with humility, realizing that we can't do anything without Him. I pray that He touches the lives of each of us who may be struggling where we need Him most. Amen
We may all have experienced painful, fearful, and heartbreaking times in our lives that were so uncomfortable it felt like we were drowning.
Have you ever heard the saying: "God sits high and looks low?"
Better yet, have you ever asked when you were going through, "Where is God?"
The Lord takes pleasure in protecting us. He may not come when we want Him to, but He's always on time. He reaches low too!
David, the Psalmist, uses the imagery of drowning to let us know where his help came from when he was helpless, weak, and in distress. He says:
Psalm 18:16 (GW)
16 He reached down from high above and took hold of me. He pulled me out of the raging water.
2 Samuel 22:17 (GW)
17 He reached down from high above and took hold of me. He pulled me out of the raging water.
Lesson: During those times in our life, when we feel like throwing in the towel, giving up, and when we are struggling to take care of the things in our lives or the lives of those we love, God will do the same for us.
He reaches down and rescues us!
