God's V.I.P. First Class In His Eyes

Greetings to all, on this "grateful" Thursday, may God bless each of us above our greatest expectations. Amen

Many of us tend to have our expectations of the people in our lives set too high, and then we find ourselves hurting because we don't think that we matter to them. Not mattering to some very well may be the case, but we need to know that we not only matter to God, but we are very important people, "VIPs" in His eyes.

1 Peter 1:18-20 (NRSV)

18 You know that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your ancestors, not with perishable things like silver or gold,

19 but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without defect or blemish.

20 He was destined before the foundation of the world, but was revealed at the end of the ages for your sake.

God has His way of changing our expectations by giving to us and doing for us more than we can imagine. And the good news is that there is no respect of a person to God; the sinner is just as important or valuable as the saved.

Luke 15:7 (GW)

7 I can guarantee that there will be more happiness in heaven over one person who turns to God and changes the way he thinks and acts than over 99 people who already have turned to God and have his approval."

Lesson: We can lower much of the disappointments we experience if we lower our expectations regarding our relationships with others and raise our expectations when it comes to our relationship with God.
