Greetings to all, on this "grateful" Thursday, let us humbly bow our hearts before God and thank Him for a spirit of humility. May He favorably bless each of us. Amen
It's no secret that most if not all of us desire to have an abundantly blessed life here on earth. We serve a good God, and He has made it possible for us to have an abundantly blessed life through Jesus.
Our God is not only Good; He is big. We are the objects of His favor and, although He is a big God and the creator of everything, He never wants any of us to feel little or small in the sense that we don't matter to Him. As His people seeking His favor, He does expect some things from us.
Isaiah 66:2 (NLT2)
2 My hands have made both heaven and earth; they and everything in them are mine. I, the LORD, have spoken! "I will bless those who have humble and contrite hearts, who tremble at my word.
1 Peter 5:6-7 (NCV)
6 Be humble under God's powerful hand so he will lift you up when the right time comes.
7 Give all your worries to him because he cares about you.
Lesson: As God's people having wealth, power and authority are unimportant in His kingdom. The things we must want most are the things that will make God look upon us favorably.
