Women @ the Well, let us thank God this Sunday morning for covering us this week with His favor and for shielding us from dangers seen and unseen. Let us continue to give Him all the glory for He is and has truly kept us safe and from falling.
For those of you who've followed us this week, you may have noticed that we've had a "theme of walking" that went like this:
Monday: We started our week walking in confidence.
Tuesday: We were seeking God's guidance to show us where to Walk.
Wednesday: We were reminded that God's word is like flowing living life-sustaining water to keep us from thirsting.
Thursday: God will be our bridge over trouble waters When we need help moving forward.
Friday: We should walk in darkness trusting and following God than to walk in our light of self-sufficiency that wears out.
Saturday: When we feel our feet slipping (weak), we can call out to God because He's got us even when we don't know it.
As long as we walk with God:
Psalm 37:23-24 (NLT2) 23 The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.
24 Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the LORD holds them by the hand.
God can keep us:
Psalm 121:3 (AMP)
3 He will not allow your foot to slip or to be moved; He Who keeps you will not slumber.
We will close this week out with one of the great doxologies in the word of God:
Jude 1:24-25 (KJV)
24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
Lesson: The book of Jude is as much a warning to the saints of God as it is about our assurance as we live and walk in this world; God will not let our feet be moved.
He is so powerful that he can keep us from stumbling or falling into sin. He can keep us from falling away from the faith so that He can with joy present us faultless or blameless before the presence of His glory.
