Greetings to all, let us thank God for seeing this "grateful" Thursday. Let's thank Him for fresh starts and new beginnings. Today is the first day of a new month, whereby we have a chance to trust God to do more than what we have already asked or thought. Amen
No matter if it's a new day or a new month, those of us who are faithful to God are looking for a wonderful working miracle or just looking for an opportunity to start over.
1 Corinthians 2:9 (GW)
9 But as Scripture says: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined the things that God has prepared for those who love him."
Ephesians 3:20 (MSG)
20 God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it, not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.
He only requires us to approach Him with grateful and pure hearts!
Joshua 3:5 (GW)
5 Joshua told the people, "Perform the ceremonies to make yourselves holy because tomorrow the LORD will do miracles among you."
The ceremonies the people of Israel were to perform were needed to sanctify, purify, consecrate, and make them holy before approaching God, and this time before entering the promised land. We, too, need to prepare ourselves before approaching God.
James 4:2b-3 (GW)
2b You're determined to have things, but you can't get what you want. You quarrel and fight. You don't have the things you want because you don't pray for them.
3 When you pray for things, you don't get them because you want them for the wrong reason—for your own pleasure.
Lesson: Our prayers will be powerful and will come to pass when we allow God to change our hearts and our desires so that they perfectly line up with His will for us.
