God Gives Us Strength

Greetings to all, thank God that we have made it to the weekend. This week may have been an emotional, long, and stressful week for some. May each of us find time to rest, relax, and unwind on this blessed Saturday. Amen.

Are you feeling weary and tired? Because of all that is happening in our world these days, it's no surprise that many are feeling tired, exhausted, and weighed down.

Isaiah 40:28-31 (GW)

28 Don't you know? Haven't you heard? The eternal God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, doesn't grow tired or become weary. His understanding is beyond reach.

29 He gives strength to those who grow tired and increases the strength of those who are weak.

30 Even young people grow tired and become weary, and young men will stumble and fall.

31 Yet, the strength of those who wait with hope in the LORD will be renewed. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and won't become weary. They will walk and won't grow tired.

We find ourselves looking for hope, peace, and strength from many unfulfilled sources during challenging times. We often drift away from God, and we forget the biblical truth that God says that He will be with us through all we go through. He has promised never to leave us nor forsake us.

Matthew 11:28 (MSG)

28 "Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Getaway with me, and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest.

2 Corinthians 12:8-10 (NCV)

8 I begged the Lord three times to take this problem away from me.

9 But he said to me, "My grace is enough for you. When you are weak, my power is made perfect in you. "So I am very happy to brag about my weaknesses. Then Christ's power can live in me.

10 For this reason, I am happy when I have weaknesses, insults, hard times, sufferings, and all kinds of troubles for Christ. Because when I am weak, then I am truly strong.

Lesson: Life can and will be challenging, full of worries. However, the Lord is waiting for us; he is ready to strengthen and renew us from our weariness.

God gives us strength, so let's trade-in our weariness for His rest in our lives!
