Greetings to all, despite everything that's going on, we have so much to worship God for this Lenten season. As we continue to journey through this Passion/Holy Week, let us be fully dedicated to walking with Jesus in a consecrated way. Amen
We are almost through the Lenten season! Many are fasting from or have taken on something to share in the experience of Jesus's suffering symbolically.
If you feel tired or exhausted from the sacrifices you have chosen, remember that Jesus didn't choose His. We must hold on and continue to consecrate ourselves (set aside for a divine purpose).
Luke 22:42 (NCV)
42 "Father, if you are willing, take away this cup of suffering. But do what you want, not what I want. "
Matthew 26:39 (NCV)
39 After walking a little farther away from them, Jesus fell to the ground and prayed, "My Father, if it is possible, do not give me this cup of suffering. But do what you want, not what I want. "
Mark 14:36 (NCV)
36 He prayed, "Abba, Father! You can do all things. Take away this cup of suffering. But do what you want, not what I want. "
Lesson: Like Jesus, each of us is born with a purpose! We can find and fulfill our God-given purposes when we dedicate ourselves to being consecrated, even though it may be challenging.
We can learn a valuable lesson from Jesus as He handled the pressure that we can sometimes feel when we become aware of what God requires of us.
Jesus knew what doing the will of the Father would cost Him, and He understood the suffering He was about to encounter. Yet, He remained fully dedicated to doing the will of the Father by praying and walking in the power of the Holy Spirit.
