Foot Slipping

Women @ the Well, the Lord has brought us to another weekend. I pray that each of us continues to trust that He will strengthen us and give us what we need to keep moving forward. May we use this weekend to get some much-needed rest, relaxation, and some replenishing.

How many of us have cried out Lord have mercy or Lord help me? I will be willing to say many of us, if not all of us. I know I have and continue to call on the Lord for help.

With so much going on in the world today, much of our security and stability is gone as we wait for things to somehow return to normal. The reality is that life as we once knew it may never return; so, therefore, we must continue to look to God because He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

When we are faced with unwelcomed situations and instabilities in our lives, they can make us feel weak and lost. I'm reminded of David in the scripture today. He uses the analogy of his feet slipping as a way to say he is feeling weak. He knew and he wants us to know today that the Lord will be with us when we feel that our spiritual footing is slipping.

The comforts of God extend from His hearing the call of the righteous to His meeting their needs even when they are not aware of them. Nelson's NKJV Study Bible.

Psalm 94:14-18 (TLB) 14 The Lord will not forsake his people, for they are his prize. 15 Judgment will again be just, and all the upright will rejoice. 16 Who will protect me from the wicked? Who will be my shield? 17 I would have died unless the Lord had helped me. 18 I screamed, "I’m slipping, Lord!" and he was kind and saved me.

Psalm 94:18 (NRSV) 18 When I thought, "My foot is slipping," your steadfast love, O LORD, held me up.

Psalm 94:18 (NIV) 18 When I said, "My foot is slipping," your love, O LORD, supported me

.

Psalm 94:18 (NCV) 18 I said, “I am about to fall,“ but, LORD, your love kept me safe.

Psalm 94:18 (MSG) 18 The minute I said, "I'm slipping, I'm falling," your love, GOD, took hold and held me fast.

Psalm 94:18 (TLB) 18 I screamed, "I’m slipping, Lord!" and he was kind and saved me.

Lesson: Are you slipping? No matter how we call on the Lord, He's got us, even when we don't know it!!!

We need to hold on to the fact that His love is enough to save, support, hold, and to keep

us!
