Fleeting Pleasures

Greetings to all; this "hump" day, Wednesday, let us refuse to go after the temporary pleasures on this life path.

In life, we will have opportunities to pursue and go after the things that give us gratification and comfort. The problem is that we are often tempted to choose physical or sensual pleasures.

Hebrews 11:24–26 (GW)

24 When Moses grew up, faith led him to refuse to be known as a son of Pharaoh's daughter.

25 He chose to suffer with God's people rather than enjoy sin's pleasures for a little while.

26 He thought being insulted for Christ would be better than having the treasures of Egypt. He was looking ahead to his reward.

Lesson: Living a life with lasting values takes courage, wisdom, and discipline. People of faith choose to forego temporary pleasures. Let us not prioritize or chase fleeting pleasures over lasting ones.
