Greetings to all, we can indeed be grateful on this "grateful" Thursday because we serve a God who promises to make things happen in our favor.
Because God's mercy is new every day, each new day is another chance to worship and be grateful. God lets us know that we can cast our cares on Him and promises to add all things to us, yet we still find ourselves worrying and stressing about many things.
We all want things, but first things first, our priority should be to put Christ first in our lives, allowing Him to rule and have dominion. When He rules over our lives, our lives will significantly change, and more things in our lives will fall into place.
Matthew 6:33-34 (RSV)
33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things shall be yours as well.
34 "Therefore, do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Let the day's own trouble be sufficient for the day.
Lesson: In the scripture, Jesus lets us know we must do two things to make space in our lives for more. He also gives us an awareness of the heart of God and His desires to be first in our lives above everything.
