Greetings to all, we have made it to the middle of the week, "hump" day Wednesday. May we, and all those we are praying for and with, have the peace of God in any distress we may have today. Amen
Our lives can be full of struggles, difficulties, battles, and setbacks. It doesn't matter what our lot in life; rich or poor, our race, and yes, our political affiliation.
They often blindside us, and we find ourselves in situations that we question God, why? We must know and understand that although the struggles in our lives are real, so is God's peace.
Struggles and difficulties will come to us; whether we want them or not, they will come. But, just because they come to us, we don't have to let them rob and steal our peace.
Ephesians 6:12 (NRSV)
12 For our struggle is not against enemies of blood and flesh, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
Isaiah 26:3-4 (TLB)
3 He will keep in perfect peace all those who trust in him, whose thoughts turn often to the Lord!
4 Trust in the Lord God always, for in the Lord Jehovah is your everlasting strength.
Lesson: Ever since the fall of man in Genesis chapter three, when sin first entered the world, the battle and the struggles in this fallen world began.
We will never have all the answers to our life's struggles; therefore, if we want to find peace in our struggles, we must always trust in the Lord God and not let our struggles discourage us; we must allow them to motivate and encourage us.
