Greetings to all, let us thank God for deciding to wake us up on this beautiful blessed Sunday morning. May we continue to allow Him to reign in our hearts and our homes, helping us and giving us a choice in making the right decisions. Amen
The pandemic has indeed interrupted and changed how we worship. The truth is that the pandemic or nothing else can take away the fact that we will be able to honor, worship, and serve God.
Matthew 16:18b (NLT2)
18 "I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it."
Difficult situations will come into our lives that we cannot handle; we will need to make decisions that we will sometimes find challenging, and we may not always know the right choice to make.
Joshua 24:15 (GW)
15 But if you don't want to serve the LORD, then choose today whom you will serve. Even if you choose the gods, your ancestors served on the other side of the Euphrates or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you live, my family, and I will still serve the LORD."
Just like the people in Joshua days had to choose whether they would obey the Lord, who had proven his steadfast love, or follow the gods of that land, which were only hand-made idols. We, too, must make a decision today whether we are going to serve the one and only true God or worship idols.
We should flood our homes with constant prayer and fellowship, filling it with the presence of God.
Romans 8:38 (NLT2)
38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love.
Lesson: It can sometimes seem easy when we do life our way, but there will come a time when each of us must choose who or what we will serve.
The choice belongs to each of us! Will it be God? Once we choose to serve God, we should reinforce our choice every day by making prayer and the word of God the tools and weapons that we use in all of our decision makings in every area of our lives.
