Women @ the Well, on this Tuesday, I pray each of us experiences God's love and peace so much that they cast away any fears we may face. Amen
It's unfortunate; most of us have met or known about fear. During the struggle for our minds, fear shows up and, most of the time, whispers lies to us, things that cause us to become afraid. It tells us we are not good enough, pretty enough, smart enough, or loved; whatever it takes to keep us from moving forward.
2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)
7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
Through God's love and care for us, we have the trust and the confidence needed to face each day.
1 John 4:18 (NKJV)
18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.
Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)
10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Lesson: Although fear is a liar, it is powerful and has the power to paralyze the best of us. Whenever we come face to face with fear, we must remember that it comes to deceive us from the father of lies, Satan. The lies He tells are temporary and are only false evidence appearing real.
