Escaping the Manipulators

Greetings to all. In life, there will be times when leaving a situation is the best thing we can do.

Many of us may be too old to remember our days on the playground with manipulative people. However, some of us may still be experiencing similar situations when it comes to our faith. Because we were close, standing up to them or leaving the playground was the most challenging thing.

Romans 16:17–18 (NCV)

17 Brothers and sisters, I ask you to look out for those who cause people to be against each other and upset other people's faith. They are against the true teaching you learned, so stay away from them.

18 Such people are not serving our Lord Christ but are only doing what pleases them. They use fancy talk and fine words to fool the minds of those who do not know about evil.

Lesson: The wisdom and insight from God's Word are vital tools that help us discern and avoid deceitfulness. They are our shield, protecting and empowering us to escape the harm caused by those manipulating us.
