Greetings to all, as we begin this new week, let us acknowledge that we cannot make it on our own in this world and that we need the Lord every day in our lives to help us overcome temptations that come. Amen
Life can sometimes feel like a war zone, and navigating and surviving through each day can be a struggle, especially when we fall into the traps set by those who mean us no good.
Matthew 26:41 (MSG)
41 Stay alert; be in prayer so you don't wander into temptation without even knowing you're in danger.
1 Corinthians 10:13 (TLB)
13 But remember this—the wrong desires that come into your life aren't anything new and different. Many others have faced exactly the same problems before you. And no temptation is irresistible. You can trust God to keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you can't stand up against it, for he has promised this and will do what he says. He will show you how to escape temptation's power so that you can bear up patiently against it.
Ephesians 6:13 (TLB)
13 So use every piece of God's armor to resist the enemy whenever he attacks, and when it is all over, you will still be standing up.
Ephesians 6:17 (NRSV)
17 Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Lesson: Temptation is a choice, so we don't need to stop at every one.
However, no matter which ones we face, God can help us through and make a way out.
So, let us choose to follow God and avoid people and situations that tempt us.
