Greetings to all. This Sunday, as we worship, let us remember the promise of eternal life.
The feeling of being empty or hungering for satisfaction can take its toll. In partaking in the bread of life, we are filled, assured, and receive the promise of eternal life. Eating this bread symbolizes accepting and adopting Jesus's teachings and sacrifice of dying on the cross. May we be reminded of the nourishment it provides for our souls and the hope it instills in our hearts.
John 6:51 (NKJV)
51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever, and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world."
Lesson: Jesus's invitation to share in the Living Bread is still relevant today. This Bread of Life satisfies our spiritual and physical hunger and guides our spiritual journey. May it inspire us to live in love, compassion, and service to others.
