Consider Yourself Hugged By God's Word

Greetings to all, let us thank God on this "grateful Thursday for the strength, energy, and His protection to make it this far. May He continue wrapping His loving arms around everyone and bless each of us one by one. Amen

Do you need a hug? How many times have you felt down and out wishing for a hug from someone you know cares about you? During our life's hardships, and especially during this season of social distancing, many of us, I'm sure, know what I'm talking about.

Although we serve a God who sits high on His throne, He reaches low to comfort and make us feel safe. He desires to be our omnipresent, never-ending, and constant help in our most desperate times of need! He's with us and has His arms wide open.

Psalm 138:6 (GW)

6 Even though the LORD is high above, he sees humble people {close up}, and he recognizes arrogant people from a distance.

Psalm 91:1-4 (MSG)

1 You who sit down in the High God's presence, spend the night in Shaddai's shadow,

2 Say this: "GOD, you're my refuge. I trust in you and I'm safe!"

3 That's right—he rescues you from hidden traps, shields you from deadly hazards.

4 His huge outstretched arms protect you— under them you're perfectly safe; his arms fend off all harm.

Psalm 16:1-2 (MSG)

1 A David song Keep me safe, O God, I've run for dear life to you.

2 I say to God, "Be my Lord!" Without you, nothing makes sense.

Lesson: When we find ourselves feeling sad, depressed, and lonely, Sometimes, a loving, sincere hug is what we need.

Jesus says He will never leave us and will always be with us. However, it's up to each of us to step into His loving, open arms daily.
