Greetings to all, on this Friday, let us thank God for the time of experiencing His presence this week and the days to come. Let us keep the faith that God can and will restore everything that has gone wrong and change it into something extraordinary and unbelievable. Amen
It may look like we are now in some tough times, and we are, and they will get tougher before they get better. With many being desperate for change, what we must understand is that God knows all about it and has something in store for us. He is Patiently and actively involved in the matters of the world right now.
Despite the bible having repeated themes of restoration and refreshing of the world that offers us hope when everything seems wrong. Change takes time! We must not give up and we must keep our eyes on the prize.
Acts 3:20-21 (NLT2)
20 Then times of refreshment will come from the presence of the Lord, and he will again send you Jesus, your appointed Messiah.
21 For he must remain in heaven until the time for the final restoration of all things, as God promised long ago through his holy prophets.
2 Peter 3:8-15a (GW)
8 Dear friends, don't ignore this fact: One day with the Lord is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like one day.
9 The Lord isn't slow to do what he promised, as some people think. Rather, he is patient for your sake. He doesn't want to destroy anyone but wants all people to have an opportunity to turn to him and change the way they think and act.
10 The day of the Lord will come like a thief. On that day heaven will pass away with a roaring sound. Everything that makes up the universe will burn and be destroyed. The earth and everything that people have done on it will be exposed.
11 All these things will be destroyed in this way. So think of the kind of holy and godly lives you must live
12 as you look forward to the day of God and eagerly wait for it to come. When that day comes, heaven will be on fire and will be destroyed. Everything that makes up the universe will burn and melt.
13 But we look forward to what God has promised—a new heaven and a new earth—a place where everything that has God's approval lives.
14 Therefore, dear friends, with this to look forward to, make every effort to have him find you at peace, without {spiritual} stains or blemishes.
15 Think of our Lord's patience as an opportunity {for us} to be saved.
Lesson: like it was to the early believers, for every generation, God may seem slow in coming to deliver us as we face challenging times.
God is not slow, and thankfully He's not on our timetable!
Because Jesus is waiting so that more sinners will repent and turn to Him, we should not just sit around and wait for Christ to return, but we should anticipate that time is short and that we have urgent spiritual work to be done.
We must be ready to meet Christ at any time, even today, still, we must plan and live our lives as though he may not return for many years.
