Bruised But Not Broken

Greetings to all, as we begin this new week, no matter what we may face this week, we can be assured that God's powerful presence will be with us and His ears are open to our prayers. Amen

Throughout history and even during this present time, with certainty, we can face whatever evil because of what God has done through Christ, and because we know that God's face is towards the righteous and that He is close to the brokenhearted.

Isaiah 57:15 (MSG)

15 A Message from the high and towering God, who lives in Eternity, whose name is Holy: "I live in the high and holy places, but also with the low-spirited, the spirit-crushed, And what I do is put new spirit in them, get them up and on their feet again.

Isaiah 42:1-4 (MSG)

1 "Take a good look at my servant. I'm backing him to the hilt. He's the one I chose, and I couldn't be more pleased with him. I've bathed him with my Spirit, my life. He'll set everything right among the nations.

2 He won't call attention to what he does with loud speeches or gaudy parades.

3 He won't brush aside the bruised and the hurt, and he won't disregard the small and insignificant, but he'll steadily and firmly set things right.

4 He won't tire out and quit. He won't be stopped until he's finished his work—to set things right on earth.

God will always use His chosen servants to reveal Himself to us. He wants to show us what it should be for all humanity and not a few self-righteous selective groups.

Today as a nation, we pause to honor Martin Luther King Jr., civil rights leader. Unfortunately, because of the racial divide, it's not the sentiment of our country as a whole. However, that doesn't take away the fact we continue to be proud of our ancestors and their bravery in fighting for equality for all people.

Lesson: While we all have good intentions, we all have weaknesses, and we all sometimes fail. We often wish that we can escape the evil, troubles, the pain of grief, loss, sorrow, and failures, and yes, even the small daily disappointments that continuously wear us down.

As God's people, we are fortunate that He promises to be "close to the brokenhearted" and be our source of power, courage, and wisdom.

Because God is helping us through our lives and problems, we may get bruised, but we will not be broken!
