Boiling Water

Greetings to all; as we progress through life, we realize and understand many simple but profound lessons.

One such lesson is that anger and hatred can obscure our ability to see and think clearly. In emotionally charged moments, we may react in ways that do not reflect our true selves. This obscurity can be likened to not seeing our reflection in boiling water; we can only recognize who we are once the turmoil settles.

Jeremiah 1:13–14 (GW)

13 Again, the LORD spoke his word to me and asked, "What do you see?"  I answered, "I see a boiling pot, and its top is tilted away from the north."

14 Then the LORD said, "Disaster will be poured out from the north on all those who live in the land.

Lesson: Reacting with resistance clouds our clarity and causes confusion. It is crucial to calm down and assess the situation since we can often do little against lies and wrongdoing. Ultimately, God is in control.
