Blessings In Disguise

Greetings to All, let us thank God for allowing us to see this "grateful" Thursday. Thank God for all the many blessings, the hope, and the strength we need not lose heart. May He continue to be with us and see us through the trials that this season of life brings. Amen

When we think about the Goodness of God, our souls should cry out Hallelujah. We can all thank God that no situations or circumstances in our lives are permanent.

When we find ourselves in tight places, or with our backs up against the wall and it appears that we have no way out, God assures and reassures us that He is in control and that He'll be with us.

That's some Good news to know when we feel that there is no hope!

Jesus quoted the following scripture to the people of Israel in the synagogue. Today we want to focus on verse three, which shows us how our circumstances and situations in life can be reversed. Through Christ, we go from suffering to being restored.

Isaiah 61:1-3 (NLT2)

1 The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is upon me, for the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted be freed.

2 He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the LORD’s favor has come, and with it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies.

3 To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the LORD has planted for his own glory.

Lesson: We may not know or understand why we're going through the things that we are, but God will reveal why we did one day.

Our God has a plan for our lives, and we must trust it, live it and enjoy it because those seemingly hopeless situations and circumstances that feel like the end are the beginning. They are "Blessings in Disguise!"

The enemy has a toolbox full of tools that he uses on God's people, but we can rest with confidence that if we love God, what the enemy tries to use for evil, God will use for our good.

When it's all said and done, God will "cause all things to work together for our good (Romans 8:28)."

When we allow God to heal our hearts, He will turn our mourning into dancing, our sorrow into joy, and give us beauty for ashes.
