Biblical Illiteracy

Greetings to all; we will not get the whole story this Sunday, but let us live the parts we receive.

In life, we do not know what we do not know. Despite the many versions and translations of the Bible, Christians often lack a sound and discernable understanding of the Bible due to a lack of study and fear.

Hebrews 5:11–14 (NCV)

11 We have much to say about this, but it is hard to explain because you are so slow to understand.

12 You should be a teacher by now, but you need someone to teach you the first lessons of God’s message again. You still need the teaching that is like milk. You are not ready for solid food.

13 Anyone who lives on milk is still a baby and knows nothing about right teaching.

14 But solid food is for those who are grown up. They are mature enough to know the difference between good and evil.

Lesson: To combat biblical illiteracy, we must study the teachings of the Bible. Remember, it is a journey we cannot complete in a single sitting.
