Greetings to all; as we end this week, may we be satisfied with all that we put our hands to do.
Life can get to be competitive for no reason other than to be better than the next person. While it is good for us to show up, be our best, and do our best, comparing ourselves to the next person can lead to undue pressures, expectations, and judgments.
Luke 18:10–11 (NCV)
10 “A Pharisee and a tax collector went to the Temple to pray.
11 The Pharisee stood alone and prayed, ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people who steal, cheat, or take part in adultery, or even like this tax collector.
Lesson: With each passing day, let us strive to improve. Let us humbly approach God in our prayers and others as we seek to improve ourselves rather than compare to others.
