Greetings to all, on this Tuesday, let us thank God for the ability to keep our emotions in check. Also, for the patience to get along with all. Amen
We cannot control the actions of others, but as the Lord's servants, we control our behavior. We will face opposition, and it won't always be from those living the ways of the world. It will also come from those of us professing to live the Christian way.
Colossians 3:12-14 (NLT2)
12 Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
13 Make allowance for each other's faults and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.
14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.
2 Timothy 2:24-26 (NLT2)
24 A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people.
25 Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people's hearts, and they will learn the truth.
26 Then, they will come to their senses and escape from the devil's trap. For they have been held captive by him to do whatever he wants.
Lesson: As servants, we aren't usually the ones who show others they are wrong but show them they are loved. Our most incredible daily work is to be an example for others to follow. When facing opposition, we must bear with one another and maintain power under control.
