Greetings to all, let us thank God for this new day and the start of a new week. May we give ourselves entirely to the work of the Lord this week so that we may see others and our situations clearly as He sees them and not as they are. Amen
As we begin to navigate and see our way through this new week, let us start with a fresh and abundant dose of grace and mercy, knowing that our help comes from the Lord. Our God has the power to change this week from an ordinary week to an extraordinary week.
We must be aware that we have the power to create change. In many cases, when we desire to have extraordinary experiences, we may need to be a part of the change.
We must stop praying and waiting for God to change others or our situations. Sometimes, if we want to see change, we must be the change that we want to see or, more importantly, the needed change.
Romans 12:2 (GW)
2 Don't become like the people of this world. Instead, change the way you think. Then you will always be able to determine what God really wants—what is good, pleasing, and perfect.
Ephesians 4:29-32 (GW)
29 Don't say anything that would hurt {another person}. Instead, speak only what is good so that you can give help wherever it is needed. That way, what you say will help those who hear you.
30 Don't give God's Holy Spirit any reason to be upset with you. He has put his seal on you for the day you will be set free {from the world of sin}.
31 Get rid of your bitterness, hot tempers, anger, loud quarreling, cursing, and hatred.
32 Be kind to each other, sympathetic, forgiving each other as God has forgiven you through Christ.
Lesson: Change can be difficult for us, but we must follow what is known as the Golden Rule: The kind of love God shows to each of us every day!
Matthew 7:12 (GW)
12 "Always do for other people everything you want them to do for you. That is {the meaning of} Moses' Teachings and the Prophets.
