Greetings to all; on this "hump" day, Wednesday, let us stop running and pause to answer God's call.
Answering God's call may initially present us with complex challenges, so when God calls, some choose to decline or be reminded later. We must know that God will take drastic measures to make himself known.
Jonah 1:1–3 (NIV)
1 The word of the LORD came to Jonah, son of Amittai:
2 "Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its wickedness has come up before me."
3 But Jonah ran away from the LORD and headed for Tarshish. He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port. After paying the fare, he sailed for Tarshish to flee from the LORD.
Lesson: When God calls, answer, and do not be eager to run away from responsibilities. There is no place we can go to hide. Sooner or later, we will find ourselves moving toward or in the place God has called us to go.
