Greetings to all; as we begin this new week and embark on our personal journey, let us put aside anger and hate.
When chaos surrounds us, it can be a test of our strength to remain calm and not succumb to anger. Yet, as children of God, we possess the power to choose not to let the chaos provoke our hearts with offense. The peril of an offended heart is that it leads us to sin. But we have the power to resist this, to choose forgiveness and kindness over anger and hate.
Ephesians 4:31–32 (MSG)
31 Make a clean break with all cutting, backbiting, and profane talk.
32 Be gentle with one another, sensitive. Forgive one another as quickly and thoroughly as God in Christ forgave you.
Lesson: Let us not put our hearts at risk by being consumed by anger and hate. But let us strive to learn the power of forgiveness and kindness within our communities.
