A Great Sounding Board

Greetings to all, on this Monday, let us thank God for those who He has placed in our life. Let us not take lightly or abuse the trust that they put in us. Amen

We all need people we can depend on to listen or speak wisdom and encouragement into our lives. As God's people, we will have many opportunities to be known as a sounding board, helping others.

In life, having a sounding board may not take care of all our problems, but sometimes that's all we need to get us through. The sounding board is that person we can trust and look to for advice before making decisions. However, there will be times when we will give or get some unsolicited advice.

2 Corinthians 5:19-20 (MSG)

19 God put the world square with himself through the Messiah, giving the world a fresh start by offering forgiveness of sins. God has given us the task of telling everyone what he is doing.

20 We're Christ's representatives. God uses us to persuade men and women to drop their differences and enter into God's work of making things right between them. We're speaking for Christ himself now: Become friends with God; he's already a friend with you.

Lesson: Being a sounding board can bring with it much power and responsibilities because the sounding board can impact other people's perspectives. Not everyone will be an excellent sounding board. To be an ideal sounding board, it's important to be a representative of Christ and be of good character.
