Greetings to all; this Monday, as we begin this new week, let us not let our motives be negative.
In life, we set goals to be great. However, we sometimes find ourselves as leaders in positions where we must mentor, coach, and teach others. When in the role of leadership, it should re-direct and shift our desire from selfishly being great to making a difference in the lives of others.
Matthew 20:25–28 (MSG)
25 So, Jesus got them together to settle things down. He said, “You have observed how godless rulers throw their weight around, how quickly a little power goes to their heads.
26 It is not going to be that way with you. Whoever wants to be great must become a servant.
27 Whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave.
28 That is what the Son of Man has done: He came to serve, not be served—and then to give away his life in exchange for the many held hostage.”
Lesson: When striving to achieve greatness, be mindful not to prioritize personal gain over the welfare of others.
