A Fortress We Can Trust In

Greetings to all, on this "hump" day Wednesday, let us thank God for not ignoring or turning away from our prayers. May He give us the strength we need when it comes to living life and serving others. Amen

Because most of us believe the saying: "God won't put more on us than we can bear." We often think and say that we are ready to serve God and others, only to find ourselves bothered and impatient by the most insignificant sign of stress that presents itself.

We know of the power in the name of Jesus and that we should call on it, especially in times of trouble, because it is there where we will get stronger, what we need, and find safety.

2 Corinthians 1:8-9 (TLB)

8 I think you ought to know, dear brothers, about the hard time we went through in Asia. We were really crushed and overwhelmed, and feared we would never live through it.

9 We felt we were doomed to die and saw how powerless we were to help ourselves; but that was good, for then we put everything into the hands of God, who alone could save us, for he can even raise the dead.

Lesson: Although there is nothing in this life that God can not handle, we will have our share of trouble. But, when we make the Lord our place of safety, a fortress we can trust, no evil can overpower us.

Trouble may surprise us, but even then, we should not think that God won't put more on us than we can handle. He gives us what He can handle.
