Greetings to all, on this Sunday, let us seek what it takes to be fired up and serve the Lord enthusiastically and with endurance. Amen
Often we began serving the Lord all fired up and ready to serve. But somewhere along the journey and doing the process, we become tired or spiritually weary. Despite becoming tired or spiritually weary, we must continue to serve God and never let the fire in our hearts go out.
Romans 12:11 (MSG)
11 Don't burn out; keep yourselves fueled and aflame. Be alert servants of the Master,
We usually burn out because we lose our passion for having personal encounters with God through His Word, and we began to focus so much on the going and the doing rather than the being.
Jeremiah 20:9-10 (TLB)
9 And I can't quit! For if I say I'll never again mention the Lord—never more speak in his name—then his word in my heart is like fire that burns in my bones, and I can't hold it in any longer.
10 Yet on every side, I hear their whispered threats and am afraid. "We will report," they say. Even those who were my friends are watching me, waiting for a fatal slip. "He will trap himself," they say, "and then we will get our revenge on him."
Lesson: Because serving and working for the Lord requires burning hearts, the enemy will like nothing more than for us to burn out and quit. Continue being who God created us to be and not neglect the fire of God burning in our hearts.
