About the Author
Norma Sims was born and raised in Folkston, Georgia, and considers herself a small-town girl. Living life as a military wife gave her family the opportunity to travel and live in a number of interesting places both in the United States and overseas. She appreciates the blessed life the military has given her family but is most grateful for the lasting friendships.
She now resides in Blythewood, South Carolina, and is a licensed minister of the gospel, serving alongside her husband. Norma truly believes that God has created and gifted each person, enabling them to give of themselves no matter what place or places they may find themselves.
Romans 8:28 is the scripture that most reveals to her who God truly is and has been in her life. “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28, KJV)

A Meeting Place For An Encouraging Word
Namiejeanministries.com evolved from my Facebook group Women @ the Well, created and established in March of 2020. Women @ the Well Administrator and now published author Norma (Namie) Sims has been known for her exceptional commitment to being present and accounted for by posting a daily scripture to encourage the women in Her group. This serious commitment to excellence has provided the driving force for us to grow into the ministry we are today.
We all carry a lot and sometimes need to pour out, and sometimes, we are empty and need to be filled.
Our ministry is a meeting place where all can come alone or invite friends. A place to come to pour in or draw from; a place to learn and a place to seek & share wisdom, to encourage or to share personal thoughts.
Our main goal is to provide a community where all can visit daily to see a word that will encourage, uplift, and comfort them.
This open and straightforward approach has effectively fueled our growth since being created on March 24, 2020.

My Published Book
It has been a lifelong dream of mine to write and publish a book. This book came into existence partially because of all the women who joined my Facebook group, Women @ the Well. I want to thank this group of women who helped me find my voice through the daily publication of these heartfelt and straightforward devotions during a time when the COVID-19 pandemic put a hold on the world.
After standing on the serenity prayer for a couple of years, I eventually began to surrender everything to God and decided to be intentional about showing up in the world for Him and what He has for me. After realizing that God had placed me in a place of peace, I committed to meeting with Him at 3:30 a.m. every morning to show my gratitude, not knowing it would turn into a devotional.
